Our wheels are a mixture of high density and low density plastic. The high density plastic gives the wheels strength and makes it easy to roll. The low density plastic helps it roll quietly, absorb shock impulses to prevent chipping, and gives it flexibility to prevent breakage, even at low temperatures.
These wheels have been tested for the last 12 months with a full range of environments. They have performed without failures in real world conditions i.e. 5-103 degree environments, rolling over cut and formed curbs. They are used on stops with long pullouts, customer pullouts, pullouts from inside buildings, and restaurants.

The residential cart wheel is 10x1.5" and weighs 2.2lbs

The casters hold a 6" wheel that weighs 1.4lbs. These wheels don't chip like the phenolic kind and are softer then most caster wheels which enables them to be more shock resistant but doesn't jeopardies their strength. These wheels are slower than 'slick' wheels but still are easy to move and maneuver.
